Woven Reed Trivet Workshop
Join us to learn how to weave with natural materials and create a woven reed trivet led by local artist and farmer Angela Eastman, of Flag Mountain Studio at Escazú Chocolates in Raleigh! These trivets are great to use for pots, tea pots, kettles, etc. They will also look great hanging on your wall! Angela is inspired by the materiality and a conviction that sharing the process of craft creates meaningful connections to histories of labor and place that accompanies the craft of weaving.
All materials will be provided for the workshop along with Feature Flora tea (we will be serving a tea that is not yet for sale so you will be the first to try!) and light snacks. Escazú Chocolates is offering workshop participants a rare 15% off discount code you can use for that day storewide!
Add this ticket to your cart to hold reserve your spot in the class and select Local Pick-Up option at check out to avoid additional payment. Venmo Angela within the sliding scale* range of $35-$65 (@Angela-eastman-forever) or bring cash or check on the day of the workshop. Details will also be emailed before the workshop.
*Sliding scale: Pay as you are able to. Those with access to more resources pay more and thus provide the cushion for those with less access to pay less, creating a sustainable economic underpinning for said services, events and items.
