Join us at Feature Flora to learn Suminagashi, a Japanese marbling techique with our friend, Najla Bulous. In this workshop, we'll explore how to float water-based inks on water, use tools to create designs, and capture monoprints on paper.
Each participant will leave with a complete Suminsgashi kit to take continue your practice at home and prints made during the workshop. No experience is required - all ages are welcome.
Light snacks and tea will be served.

Najla Bulous is a paper person based in Durham, NC. She builds narratives through handmade paper and surface treatments, exploring the relationship between technology, community, and traditional crafts. She was an artist-in-residence at MI-LAB in Echizen, Japan and has attended workshops at Penland School of Craft, Dieu Donné, and Women's Studio Workshop.
