Wild White Tea
Suoi Giàng is a commune of Văn Chan district of Yên Bái province. Located at an altitude of nearly 1,400 meters above sea level, Suoi Giàng is home to ancient, wild tea trees grown on forested mountain slopes that have been tended to by Hmong families for hundreds of years. After the leaf buds from these wild tea trees are carefully harvested by hand, they are left to wither in and out of sun exposure before being hand-stirred and dried, resulting in a complex yet delicate white tea.
